The National Forum for Balanced Success 'Seeds of Balanced Success' Series provides you with a brief overview of the 12 cornerstone principles essential for your Balanced Success.
It can serve as a refresher and a reminder when you feel your balance may be slightly off track or when you simply need to reflect on the vital food that feeds our mind and soul.
Principle of Observing Truth
Transcend The Duality
We tend to see things and think in opposites. We need to know the concept of dark to experience and understand light. There is no front without a back.
Whole mind thinking however, gives us a clearer insight. It's also the way we need to think of our goals rather than thinking of positive and negative together. Using more of your mind will enable you to achieve more of your goals.
Activity 3
Most of us are guilty of using the 'but' word when we strive toward something - 'I want a new house BUT I don't have enough capital' or 'I want to lose a few inches around my waist BUT my previous efforts have been unsuccessful'.
Not surprisingly the introduction of the 'BUT' has a large bearing on the outcome of a goal. If you want to move in one direction, the 'BUT' will pull you in the opposite direction.
Think of a situation recently where you have used the 'BUT' concept. Now repeat your goal internally and consciously remove the 'BUT'. That 'BUT' was a major barrier, it has now been removed and you have transcended the duality. Read your goal aloud and internally several times. Now you can truely focus on your goal. If a 'BUT' slips its way back into your thoughts, dismiss it immediately!
